There was a period in my career when I was regularly in the rear of large conference rooms after making a presentation to an audience and enjoying these moments to relax. I would then watch other speakers do their presentations. The typical setting in these days was a dark conference room, a large white screen and an overhead projector. Well trained speakers would switch off the overhead projector in between the presentation of their overhead foils. Yet not all speakers would do that, projecting as a consequence a large white beam of light from the overhead projector onto the large white screen.
On a number of occasions I would be able to see the initial thoughts of the speaker form a grayish cloud above the speaker's head (in the light beam against the white screen), before the words would be uttered by the speaker. Initial thoughts would start as a free floating cloud one to two meters from the speaker's head. Then when the thoughts where becoming more concrete, ready to be uttered as words, the cloud would align right above the speakers head and the words would start to be uttered.
Anyone with similar experiences to share?
P.S. I have lost this ability in the meantime probably because I felt it as too much of an intrusion into people's private lives.
