Approximately 50 meters away from our house is a neighborhood swimming pool shared by forty families. From our bedroom, with the window open, one can hear the people plunge into the pool.
Sometimes, on a warm afternoon, when I take a rest on the bed and I slip into a mode of deep relaxation I can hear the sound of a person plunging into the pool and I can sense a slight pressure wave in my body when the person hits the cold water.
The bizarre thing is this: The pressure wave is slightly ahead of the sound (200-300 Millie Seconds), hence enough to be noticed as separate signals.
What is transmitted by a person who hits the cold water?
What do we know about emotions traveling the distance to another person?
How fast do emotional reactions travel?
How does it travel?
How is our perception of physical reality influenced by an emotional field?
Theories and experimental results surrounding these questions are very welcome.
